The NHS Volunteer Responders service is still running
Posted on 16 Jul 2020
The NHS Volunteer Responders service is still running. It is run by the NHS in England, supported by the Royal Voluntary Service. It will continue to operate over the coming months. Whilst restrictions may be easing the scheme will continue to help people who are at greater risk from Coronavirus or may be cautious about the virus and want to avoid crowded spaces.
Volunteers are still available to support with shopping, collecting prescriptions or phoning for check in and chat calls. They can help:
People who want to continue to stay at home or need to avoid busier public spaces , people with caring responsibilities , those that are self-isolating because they have symptoms , those instructed to self-isolate by the track and trace service , front line health and care workers and patients who are self-isolating due to a planned hospital admission.
If you need help please contact 0808 196 3646 8am -8pm.
